Megan Alicia James is the daughter of Texas Division , SCV, Lt. Commander Ray James and Marianne James. She is the descendant of several Confederate veterans, including her Great-Great-Grandfather, Private Reuben Jeptha Pickett, Company D, 26th Mississippi Infantry. On her mother’s side, she is the Great-Great-Great Granddaughter of Francis R. Lubbock, wartime Governor of Texas.

Megan graduated from A & M Consolidated High School in 2007 where she was a member of the Bengal Belle Drill / Dance Team for four years. She received the position of Junior Lieutenant from 2005-2006 and Senior Lieutenant from 2006-2007. Megan’s grandparents are Patsy Pecht Waring and the late Henry Clay Waring and Ruth Proctor James and the late Raymond Pickett James.

Currently, Megan is a sophomore at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas where she is preparing to transfer to a university to pursue a degree in Graphic Communications. She enjoys dancing, drawing and spending time with her family.
