Chesney Anne Monroe is the great-great-great granddaughter of Private James Rodgers, Company K, 41st Georgia Infantry.
This regiment, under the command Colonels William E. Curtiss and Charles A. McDaniel fought in numerous battles on both the
Eastern and Western fronts.
Chesney is the daughter of Steve Monroe and Melana Hunt Monroe and is the granddaughter of T. W and Lavern Hunt and Ken and
Anne Monroe.
Chesney is a high school junior and plans to attend the University of Tennessee where she will study the ministry.
She enjoys competitive swimming, life guarding, theater and taking care of children in her church nursery.
