    July 2010

  • Month of July - "Lee - Grant Exhibit" - The Sul Ross Camp #1457 is supporting the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History with it's Lee-Grant Exhibit from June 16th to August 11th. It’s well worth the trip and $4.00 that it costs. Members of the Sul Ross Camp have loaned the museum supportive artifacts to broaden the exhibit. They have Saturday hours (10:00 am to 5:00 pm) for those from out of town. (more Infromation)

  • July 3 - "Old Fashioned 4th of July" - Saturday, July 3, Civil War Museum, Old Town Spring. Starts at 10:00 am. Sponsored by Montgomery Rose 47, Order of Confederate Rose. For more information, contact Susan Sager.

  • December 2-5 - "The Road To Secession" - Sponsored by Upshur County Patroits Camp #2109. Held at Camp Gilmont, located off Hwy. 155 northeast of Gilmer. This is an official "Texas Division Sesquicentennial Event".

  • January 22, 2010 - "Confederate Heroes Day Cotillion" - Hosted by Granbury's Texas Brigade Camp 1479 & Montgomery Rose 47 OCR. 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, April Sound Country Club on Lake Conroe, 1100 April Sound Blvd., Montgomery, Texas.     April 2011

  • April 2, 2011 - "Headstone Dedication" - Albert Sidney Johnston Camp 67 and District I, UDC will co-host a ceremony dedicating 12 new Confederate headstones and honoring Confederate Memorial Day. The ceremony will take place at Glenwood Cemetery, 2525 Washington Avenue, Houston, Texas. The ceremony will start at 10 AM, and will take about two hours. Afterward there will be an informal reception at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Avenue (one mile and two stoplights east of Glenwood). For more information, contact Gus Mistrot.
